Do you need to clean up your Revit files for transmission?
It is a common task to remove as much from a model as possible prior to sharing it with your consultants for the purpose of linking into their model or sometimes you want to lighten up a model that was sent to you for the same purpose. Delete Sheets, Views. and Revit Links does just what it says. You can select which of the three options you chose using the provided check-boxes.
This tool should only be used on models detached from central as it can be quite destructive.

Sequence numbering on doors numbers doors independently. The tool remembers the previous door's number and will maintain the proper sequence on subsequent doors.

Vectorworks can assume object identity when importing Sketchup

I haven't really played with this, but theoretically you could:

1. Import a Sketchup file into Vectorworks
2. Vectorworks will attempt to create floors, roofs and walls
3. Export to IFC
4. Import into your BIM program of choice...

When importing a sketchup document, by default it will attempt to import the file as if it were an architectural design document, it will try to determine which objects are floors, roofs and walls.

I think, we all want to use more programs with less consumption of resources and to have no adware or other unsolicited software included. In recent years free software, are proving to be at the height of our requirements and very diverse.

The first soft i will present is not a local software, it is a tool which can use anywhere if you are conected to the internet.
It is a site which help us make in easy steps elements for graphics, websites etc.
I just found it again a few days ago and was very usefull for some design of my own.

This is a very simple soft which does not require instalation and have some usefull tools.
The free version of it offers a

World Clock, Alarm Clock and Timer

 and a virtual ruler (points, px, cm, inch). Over this face functions does have a lot of other tools:
- capture screen function (for different ways of selection and small editing options) and saving as .jpg, .png or .tif file;
- color picker from windows desktop or programs (very useful for everybody needs exact colors). It present the color in different formats;
- privacy eraser: you can delete directly from here a lot of tracks left after navigating web (passes, cookies, recent files, temps etc). All can be deleted at one click;
- windows spy: visualising Handler type informations associated to the windows and objects from desktop. Just drag the virtual target on the desired file and you'll have the information;
- Font Manager: very useful for viewing fonts and charmap;
- Converter: pictures (.jpg, .bmp, .tif, .png, .gif), chm to html files, convert text in lowercase, uppercase ... styles;
